Jermaine Jackson is the Chief Executive Officer of Hoop Metric Academy, bringing over two decades of experience in coaching, teaching, and youth development. A respected leader in Canada’s basketball community, Jermaine has led Team BOLTT, one of the nation’s top Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) programs and held multiple leadership roles with the Ontario Basketball Association (OBA). Over seven years as a transformative high school coach, he consistently guided teams to elite provincial rankings, instilling discipline, teamwork, and resilience in young athletes. Beyond the court, Jermaine is a certified nutrition expert and personal trainer who has helped hundreds achieve their health and fitness goals. His holistic approach combines physical conditioning with mindset development, empowering clients and athletes to build confidence and long-term well-being. Jermaine’s deep personal experience as a standout high school athlete and a successful junior college player, shapes his coaching philosophy and ability to mentor Canada’s next generation of talent. He’s guided countless athletes not only to on-court success but to meaningful personal growth and life achievements. A passionate educator, Jermaine integrates academic excellence and accountability into every aspect of his leadership. Rene Villavecer brings a dynamic blend of executive leadership, community building, and operational excellence to his role as Chief Growth Officer at Hoop Metric Academy. With a career spanning both youth basketball and healthcare, Rene is a growth-focused strategist who drives the Academy’s mission to scale data-driven athlete development across communities. Rene has played a pivotal role in shaping the regional and national basketball landscape. As President of Windsor Pinoy Athletics and the Windsor Pinoy Athletics Suns (WPA), he led successful grassroots and competitive programs under the Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) and Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Currently serving as Commissioner of the Filipino Basketball Association of North America (FBANA), he oversees the growth and execution of large-scale leagues and national events across the continent, fostering talent and collaboration within the diaspora. His professional background as a Registered Nurse, specializing in emergency and critical care, adds a unique operational rigor to his leadership. As a Care Coordinator for Ontario Health at Home, Rene manages complex systems and people with clarity, compassion, and precision, skills that translate seamlessly into his strategic initiatives at Hoop Metric Academy. At the intersection of sport, health, and community impact, Rene Villavecer drives sustainable growth, partnership development, and operational scalability for the Academy’s long-term success. “Whether in sports or healthcare, structure and accountability are key. A dedicated educator, community advocate, and former elite athlete, Garth brings more than two decades of leadership, mentorship, and player development experience to his role as Vice President of Player Development. With a career that began in the classroom and evolved into administrative leadership across three schools, he has consistently shaped environments where young people can thrive academically, athletically, and personally. From 2001 to 2013, Garth served as a teacher, building strong relationships with students and families and honing his gift for motivation and mentorship. As an administrator and school leader, he continued to make a lasting, positive impact by fostering cultures of excellence, accountability, and growth. His work extends beyond school walls: through years of coaching and community engagement, he has guided athletes and students in developing the discipline, resilience, and character needed to succeed both on and off the court. As a former high-level high school athlete himself, Garth deeply understands the pressures, expectations, and aspirations that young athletes face. He knows what it takes to excel at the top of one’s sport, and that lived experience allows him to connect authentically with players, recognizing their challenges, celebrating their potential, and helping them navigate the journey from talent to achievement. A proud and influential leader in the Black community, Garth is committed to representation, empowerment, and equity. As a Black principal and community figure, he has served as a visible example of leadership, breaking barriers and creating spaces where students of colour feel seen, supported, and inspired. His work has helped cultivate confidence, belonging, and opportunity for countless young people, and he continues to champion pathways that uplift underrepresented voices. Passionate about shaping the next generation, Garth brings his educational expertise, athletic background, and community-driven mission to the world of basketball player development. Aaron is a versatile professional with a strong background in information technology, insurance, and youth sports development. As a System Administrator, he manages networks, systems, and IT infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations. In addition to his IT expertise, Aaron specializes in reviewing travel insurance claims, where he analyzes claim details, interprets policy terms, and makes informed decisions to ensure accurate, fair, and compliant outcomes. Beyond his technical and analytical roles, Aaron is also a dedicated basketball coach who mentors young athletes. He emphasizes not only skill development but also teamwork, discipline, and character, helping players grow both on and off the court. Aaron is passionate about combining problem-solving, leadership, and mentorship, whether that means developing innovative technology solutions, safeguarding fair customer experiences, or guiding the next generation of athletes toward personal growth and success.
